Robert's birthday

It is already more than 1,5 month ago so I have to check my memory.
But I must write a little bit about Robert's birthday !
Our oldest son has become 12 years old!
A big boy now. Starting to be a young puber already.
We had a nice party with family and friends.

Later that month Robert had his birthday party with his friends.

They went to the movie Spiderman part 3.

They all liked the movie although the end was a bit sad.

Beginning of August he will start at the secundary school.
He will go to the same school where I went to when I was 12 : The Gertudis school.
So for me it is bit of a Deja Vu. I even know some of the teachers that still teach there!

Maaike Communion

At saturday 2 nd of June we had the Holy Forst communion of Maaike.
It is already our last child that did the Comunion. Time really flies.
We had many friends and family visiting us at the day.
We were very lucky that the weather was really beautiful: not too warm and not too cold.

At 13:00 was the church mass. Maaike looked very beautiful that day as you can see on the photos below. She was not nervous a all. We, as parents were of course nervous and emotional to see her standing there in front singing and saying some texts. The mass was very nice and lasted 1 hour and 3 quarters as so many childre did the Communion.

After mass we went home. We decided to do the party at home although we wanted to do the part outside.(less work for us) But Maaike had seen the Communion of Patrick last year and she said she wanted to have the same kind of party at home and not in a restaurant outside. Well, it's her day so we did it at home. There all the people came. Gosia and babcja had done a lot of work in the preparation of the warm / cold buffet, the decoraton of the room and the garden. It was a great party and Maaike enjoyed it a lot. We also enjoyed ourselves. But we are a bit sad as it is our last Holy Communion.

At the same day her friend Susanne also did her Communion. They both got a bike for their hly communion.
