Preparing for Carnaval

Although Carnaval in the Netherlands is nothing compared to the celebrations in Brasil we still give it a try here.
Only in the south of the Netherlands Carnaval is really celebrated. The north and east don't do much with Carnaval.
But in the south schools are free in that time. But before the Carnaval holidays many activities are being organized for the kids
The school of our kids will organize a Carnaval parade where all the kids will dress up and they even can decorate a car.
Every year there is a central theme and based on that theme you dress up and decorate the car.

Last saturday Patrick has started to decorate a car with his friend Ryan.
As you can see they have done a lot of work so far.
Next week they start to paint the car

Reshaping the attic

After long long delay we finally decided to start with the attic.
We , well Gosia, removed the old carpet.
Together we movged all the stuff on the attic so that we could change the carpet.

And Gosia put in the new Vinyl carpet.
This carpet looks like wood as you can see on the photos.
It's almost ready so the end is near.
But Gosia has more plans like moving from the parents bedroom to the attic
We'll see what the future brings.
